What is a symptom? According to Merriam Webster a symptom is, "subjective evidence of disease or physical disturbance". Why are symptoms important in homeopathy? In homeopathy we don't treat symptoms, but use them as a guide or sign to point us in a direction of what is going on in our bodies. If you get a sore throat, you may know you are getting a cold. If you think you are getting sick you could take Byonia alba 30 mixed with Aconitum napellus 200 to aid your body in moving the illness along. If you kick your toe into a door jam, and it hurts, you could take Arnica Montana 200 for the pain.
Whether your symptoms are obvious, like pain from kicking your toe or more subtle like a tickle in your throat, they are there to help you move in the right direction to make your body well again. Sometimes homeopathy can move you in the right direction and sometimes the symptom just reminds you to pick up your feet more when walking!
If you would like to learn more about homeopathy and how it could help you with your symptoms, there are a few ways you can do that. You could host a Discovery Party to find out more about the Gateway to Homeopathy Classes. Or if you are ready to dive into a class, contact me to find out when the next class is starting. If you would like a more personal approach, you can schedule a one on one consultation. I look forward to helping you learn more!
